History#

The History tab displays a record of previous advising activity, comments, and files for the student. It may contain additional information as well, depending on your institution’s configuration.

Advising Sessions#

Clicking an advising session row will display:

• The date of an advising interaction
• The advisor who worked with the student
• The term associated with the advising activity
• Courses advised

Review the advising history before meeting with a student when possible. This can help provide continuity between advising appointments and reduce the need for the student to repeat information that has already been discussed.

Deleting an Advising Session#

Depending on your permissions, you may be allowed to delete an advising session for up to 3 months after it has been made. This is to provide advisors an opportunity to correct any errors, or make any updates, before the advising session becomes a permanent part of the student’s record in FlightPath.
