User Management#
FlightPath provides administrators with tools for managing user accounts and controlling what staff users can access.
The user management system is built around three related concepts:
- Users are the individual people who have accounts in FlightPath.
- Roles are groups of permissions that can be assigned to staff users.
- Permissions determine what users with a particular role can do.
Most institutions automatically import their users from an SIS or LMS, so administrators generally do not need to create user accounts manually.
User management topics#
- Managing Users — View, add, and edit user accounts, including assigning roles to staff users.
- Roles — Create and manage roles for staff users.
- Permissions — Control what each role can access and do.
Together, these features allow administrators to configure FlightPath access according to the responsibilities of different staff members.
